ABDA holds pre-HaBaWaBa Brasil test event

Tournament with 10 teams aimed to make children get into competitive spirit

Last Saturday (17/10), the Bauru Association of Water Sports (ABDA) held in the Arena a test event for HaBaWaBa Brazil 2020. The event without public was attended by 10 teams from ABDA itself, with 13 athletes up to 13 years in each team, who played 20 games in two fields mounted in the indoor pool.

The objective of the test event was to align the procedures for the realization of the 1st edition of HaBaWaBa in Latin America that will be held between December 9 and 13, in the ABDA Arena, in Bauru (SP). Registration for HaBaWaBa Brasil is open until October 30 by the website https://habawababrasil.com.br/pt_br/inscricao.

This Saturday's tournament was held by running points and without finals matches, in a model where everyone faced each other, with the aim of making the children get into competition spirit. “We had 10 teams with 13 children in each team, 20 games and many goals. A very important event to bring the competitive spirit to our children, as many stayed 5 to 6 months without competitions. It was very gratifying to see the children's smiles stamped on their face. Everything worked out, now there are only some minor details to solve so that our HaBaWaBa Brasil is an unforgettable event for our children”, celebrated the technique Janaina Parra Grossi, one of the organizers of the event.

Preparations follow full steam ahead for the water polo festival that will be in the U13 gender-mixed category in Brazil. Many items that make up the welcome kit offered to athletes have already been made and details of the event's signaling are also already being manufactured.

HaBaWaBa Brazil brings great visibility to the country, by hosting the International Water polo event idealized by Waterpolo Development (WPD) and recognized worldwide, with the endorsement of FINA, Brazilian Committee of clubs (CBC) and Liga Water Polo Brasil (PAB).
